Samsung unveils Galaxy Tab 7 with 3-inch display (Photo: Samsung) Rumours about the new Galaxy Tab models came on the mid of this month. As suspected, a first model of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3-series has now officially announced. Contrary to expectation, but it is not a Galaxy Tab 3 with 8-inch screen size, but like its predecessor with a 7-inch display.

Under the hood tinkers a faster 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU (Galaxy Tab 2: 1 GHz processor). Like its predecessor, there is again only 1 GB of RAM (2 GB were suspected) and depending on the configuration of 8 or 16 GB of memory. Thanks to a microSD card slot allows the capacity to expand up to 64 GB.

addition to a 3-megapixel camera on the back there is a 1.3-megapixel webcam for video calling in the front. Of communication options are IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 available. The battery has a capacity of 4000 mAh. Samsung, however, makes no specific information at run time. The operating system Android 4.1.x Jelly Bean is used.
