CES 2014 has shown what will be one of the trends for the coming years: curved tool. First smartphones and tablets with “curved” screen, there are already. The next logical step would be of course a curved tablet.
And which company, if not Samsung should be to accept such a task? The page Move player assumes that the company from South Korea will introduce such a device in the near future and has the same a concept image created that shows a possible design of the Galaxy Tab Round : curved display, Samsung’s new magazine UX, a microUSB 3.0 port.
Although the existing approaches of mobile smartphones bent still more reminiscent of a proof-of-concept and the mass market in terms of value for money can not inspire, so offers a bend numerous benefits to be noticeable in practice make: curved tool can be kept better smartphones fit the phone better shape of the head and can be a pleasant place in your pocket. And last but not least the display bending ensures that screens are better achieved at large devices with one hand. That at least some of their colleagues were able to establish in their first tests and hands-on.
How practical is a bend of the display in tablets and how to ensure that the device on a table does not wind in the operation (a problem that has been solved fairly well with the Galaxy Round) must be seen. But that such a device will be introduced in the near future by one of the major manufacturers, is considered likely.
