Samsung has announced a scaled-down Lite version of its 7-inch tablet Galaxy Tab 3. Shortly before the device was already on the Polish website of the company manual surfaced and a Polish online retailer offering the tablet already for sale.
The Lite version takes over the Basisaussttatung of the standard model, but leaves some components and features away. Like the Galaxy Tab 7.0 3 it offers a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and 170 ppi.
processor, the Galaxy Tab also has a 1.2 GHz fast dual-core CPU, which uses Zurgriff Lite 3 to 1 GB of RAM. The internal memory is 8 GB in size and can be expanded using a microSD card up to 32 GB. The standard version of the tablet Samsung offers also available with 16 GB of memory on.
While the “normal” Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 comes with two cameras, the Lite version only a rear 2-megapixel model. Savings Samsung has apparently also with the battery. Instead, the 4000 mAh abspeckte version offers only a capacity of 3600 mAh, which is for up to eight hours of rich video playback. Other features include GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct and optionally also UMTS with HSPA +, which supports up to 21 Mbit / s downstream and 5.76 Mbit / s upstream.
With dimensions of 19.3 by 11.6 times 0.97 centimeters, the Lite version is slightly longer and wider, but also minimally thinner than the standard version (18.8 times 11.1 times 0.99 centimeters). The Wi-Fi version weighs 310 grams with 10 grams on the scales. The operating system comes from the factory instead Android 4.1 now Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is used.
prices and availability of the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, Samsung has yet to comment. It tells only that the tablet will be available in the colors black and white world. The 8-gigabyte version of the Galaxy Tab 7.0 is 3 to have the internet from just 136 Euros. The price of the Lite version would thus again be lower to find buyers.
