At IFA 2014, we have taken a closer look at the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, which will soon be available in Germany.
As a blogger trying naturally as objectively as possible to be. But we’re all human and of course we all have individual likes and dislikes. The latter include, for example, the brand Samsung phones with me. Excessive use of glibschigem plastic or false leather and unintuitive for me Touchwiz have let me with the Galaxy series never really warm.

The Galaxy Alpha makes as much right as the last three in a telephone flagships were not together. But the specifications read already promising:

The outer values
The real strength of Alpha Galaxy lies not in the intrinsic values, but in the design and feel. Here, Samsung has succeeded for the first time to design a phone that might look after Samsung, but works just as well dibasic.

The first lifting immediately notice the weight of the Alpha Galaxy. 114g are by today’s standards quite a bit and the Alpha feels a bit unreal.
The unit is very nice and small and fits comfortably in your hand. A refreshing change from megalomania, which I unfortunately can not interesting to you. The “dummy feeling” then lies down on power. The AMOLED display shines colorfully go on it and I miss any pixels. The resolution goes for 4.7 inch perfectly fine. Sure it goes higher, but a full-HD resolution would probably have the battery not done particularly well.
The offers namely 1860 mAh capacity significantly less than, say, the 2600 mAh of the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. Unfortunately we can not give you experience, how long actually the battery lasts. This will only turn out for a longer test.
Performance and impressions
Performance Technically, the Galaxy Alpha is in our short test no nakedness. Everything is going to fix stuttering and there are practically no. Unfortunately Touchwiz is incomprehensible to me as ever. Chill can adjust everything. That may some like – I prefer only because setting where they really make sense. My favorite example is the arrangement of the settings. Why does not Samsung smarter Designer is an arrangement of that works great? Instead, I can choose from different arrangement of its fittings and am even more confused at the end.
evil burp could also agree the lack of an SD card slot. With 32 GB of memory but I personally have no problem with it. The battery cover is but still removable and the battery itself can change. The Alpha Galaxy uses the way nano-SIM cards.
Many aspects of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha scream “iPhone”. The metal frame, the convenient size, the lack of SD card, the nano-SIM – All that seems to be designed willing to change iPhone users an alternative to offer that feels for premium and at the same time not break the 5 inch border
One could patent and plagiarism lobe dig them out again, but the Galaxy Alpha remains at all in common with the iPhone but clear as Samsung device discoverable. Contributing mainly structured front and back in, which would not match the crisp, clean Apple aesthetics, but have evolved in Samsung by sleazy toy surfaces to advanced design features.
Come to stay
Samsung makes with the design language of the Alpha Galaxy and more recently, the Grade 4 something right. The Galaxy Alpha is for me the best so far Samsung phone and the feel of her with the iPhones in the world equal (That I would write times on a Samsung phone …).
My absolute dream would be a Google Play Edition of Galaxy Alpha. Without Touchwiz and with pure Android (L), the Galaxy Alpha one recommendation would be for me the true Samsung’s flagship 2014 and definitely worth it.
As aftertaste that remains is the low battery capacity and the hefty MSRP of 649, € 00. The past has shown, however, that the decline in prices for Android phones is initially quite fast. With this in mind, I would imagine that this year be some Alphas are under the Christmas tree. They would have deserved it.
