Samsung Galaxy Note Edge: Curved display in Hands-On – Curved

What we previously always or only as a study Prototypes have seen on the show floor, Samsung has unceremoniously brought to series maturity and incorporated into a Galaxy Note 4: The Galaxy Note Edge is technically equivalent to almost exactly the latest phablet the Koreans, however, comes with a bent therefore display. And that not only looks pretty cool, it is actually functional. We tested the possible future of the smartphone displays on the Unpacked event in Berlin and our impressions recorded in the video.

Yes, LG has us at the beginning of the year with the G Flex a domed Smartphone bestowed, and so they deserve the praise, to have made this technology ready for series production as the first major manufacturer. But what Samsung as presented with the Note Edge, goes a step further and still sees a trail of impressive. And not only makes the crease at the right edge of the WQHD screens optically her a lot, he is also put to good use.

How can there shortcuts show by scrolling news ticker or show at night is also a decent snooze clock . Particularly clever: Watching a video on the 5.7 inch display which otherwise often disturbing controls are simply laid on top of the bent

The other technical data read almost exactly the same as that of the Galaxy Note 4.: S Pen, a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixels (plus just once 160 pixels on the right), one clocked at 2.7 GHz Snapdragon 805 chipset, 3GB RAM, 32 GB or 64 GB internal memory, the 16 MP camera with Smart OIS and a 3,000 mAh battery make the grade Edge into a high-end smartphone.

However, the futuristic piece of jewelry that in the end of the will colors black and white to go on sale, probably be slightly more expensive than the score 4 – so much was betrayed us by Samsung; the exact price, it is not initially communicated.
